Subscribers having trouble accessing Andrew Sullivan’s blog
by Curtis Lee Fulton
Superstar blogger Andrew Sullivan reported today that subscribers are having trouble with his chosen eCommerce platform, Tinypass. Subscribers with iPhones and Mac desktops cannot access “The Dish” because Tinypass requires third-party cookies to function, but Apple’s Safari browser bans these cookies by default.
Sullivan also reported that subscribers say they avoid signing on to his main web page because they prefer to use an RSS reader, something that Tinypass does not support. Complete article access to The Dish via RSS remains free.
Despite these problems, Sullivan brought in $93k the first three weeks he installed Tinypass, in addition to
$611,000 $518,000 from a “pre-subscription” drive earlier this year.
