Andrew Sullivan’s paywall pulls in $100k in under 30 days

by Curtis Lee Fulton

Superstar blogger Andrew Sullivan reported today that his blog, The Dish, has pulled in over $100,000 since he installed a metered paywall February 3. He’s considering “tightening up” the blog’s “leaky pay-wall,” as many readers are visiting the blog from multiple devices and have yet to “confront a meter request for a subscription.”

Some Dish subscribers have complained that the paywall has kept them from reading the site.

Dish subscriptions run $19.99 a year. Sullivan has already raised $611,000 $518,000 from a “pre-subscription” drive earlier this year
