Comcast opens Internet spigot for its California customers

Comcast, Inc. says its opening the the spigot for its California XFINITY Internet customers at no additional cost. Its users will need to restart their cable modems to see the higher speeds.

Comcast’s “Extreme 50” tier customers will see download speeds go from 50 Mbps to 105 Mbps and upload speeds go from 15 Mbps to 20 Mbps.

“Blast!” tier customers will see download speeds go from 25 Mbps to 50 Mbps and upload speeds go from 4 Mbps to up to 10 Mbps.

“Performance” tier customers will see speeds go from 15 Mbps to 20-25 Mbps and upload speeds go from 2 Mbps to 4-5 Mbps.
