The Association of American Publishers (AAP) got its knickers horribly twisted last month when Amazon made a bid for the “.book” top level domain (TLD). But today publisher Schiel & Denver, a member of the AAP, offered general praise of Amazon’s “single-handed genius” in transforming the publishing industry and said it backed the online book seller’s “constitutional rights to freedom of speech” to buy the TLD. The publisher also said that it’s playing “an important Christian role” in supporting Amazon’s “innovative methods.”
