Google announces finalists for Data Journalism Award

Google Europe has announced 73 finalists for its Data Journalism Award. The search giant says it will give away almost $20,000 to nine winners at the GEN News Summit in Paris this July 19th through July 21st. Eight winners will be picked by a jury presided by former Wall Street Journal editor-in-chief and Pro-Publica founder Paul Steiger. The public can chose a “Public Choice Award” by visiting and voting for a data application or visualization.
