WTO launches public trade monitoring database

by Curtis Lee Fulton

The World Trade Organization (WTO) has launched a searchable trade monitoring database that can sift through trade measures implemented by WTO members and observers. Search results can be group by the country implementing the measure, by country affected by the measure, by type of measure, and by products affected. Searches can go back to October 2008.

The database is populated with trade monitoring reports prepared by the WTO Secretariat and is updated each time a new trade monitoring report has been discussed by WTO members. The most recent update was last year on October 15. The next update is expected to be sometime this July.
