Teenage Twitter use shoots up

Teenage Twitter use has shot up from 16% in 2011 to 24% today, finds a new study by the Pew Research Center. Eighty percent of teens have Facebook profiles and the typical teen Facebook user has 300 friends. The typical teen Twitter user has 79 followers. Sixty-four percent of teen Twitter users make their tweets public, while 24% keep their tweets private.
