Microsoft unleashes Internet Explorer 11
by Curtis Lee Fulton
Microsoft says a preview of its Internet Explorer 11 web browser is available today as part of a larger preview of the software giant’s Windows 8.1 operating system. The company says the new browser will be optimized for touch rather than mouse input and promises the thing will be fast, thanks to 3D acceleration.
Web developers will be happy to know that the so-called “F12 tools” have been overhauled, hopefully bringing them inline with Google Chrome’s developer tools.
