Businesses with an office in the city will be able to register for an address on the new TLD (example.nyc) in late 2013. The city is still determining the registration fee. The city tapped registry vendor Neustar to administer the TLD. Neustar put up the $185,000 application fee to secure the the domain from ICANN in March 2012.
