SFMOMA publishes digital collection catalog

by Curtis Lee Fulton

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) says it’s published its first online collection catalogue, called the Rauschenberg Research Project. The collection presents close to 90 works by artist Robert Rauschenberg, taken from the museum’s larger Rauschenberg collection.

Simular to the Google Art Project, SFMOMA’s Rauschenberg online catalog provides users a deep zoom feature for photos and a high-resolution downloads. The museum says the catalog contains a mix of scholarship and multimedia content of new, existing, and related Rauschenberg artifacts.
