The US Air force says it’s released a century of US and allied bombing campaign data that reaches back to WWI. The searchable database, called Theater History of Operations Reports database (THOR), featuers digitized mission reports that are searchable by date, conflict or aircraft-specific criteria. The Air Force says the reports are “organized into spreadsheets, charts or onto maps, forming a live-action sequence of events.”

The database contains 58 different aircraft, bomb information that span WWI, WWII and Vietnam. Lt. Col. Jenns Robertson, who researched and developed the project, said the database “allows us to look over the last 70-100 years of bombing data, how we’ve conducted wars for the last century using airpower, and if we can’t pull lessons out of that, then we’re not doing our job.”
