Nu-book launches eBook platform
by Curtis Lee Fulton
eBook platform provider Nu-book says it’s launched a suite of tools for book, magazine and newspaper publishers. The suite offers publishers a way to deliver content on desktops, tablets and smartphones. The platform runs on iOS, Android, Mac OS X and Windows. It works with Apple’s App Store, Google Play and Amazon’s App Store.
The platform works for white label apps and publishers are free to cook up their own distribution strategy. Content can be purchased, rented or offered for free. The file formats can Adobe Flash, HTML 5, ePub, PDF or XML.
Nu-book’s platform has it’s own DRM and the company promises publishers won’t have to pay high licensing costs to use it. The platform also comes with its own analytics software, offering publisher real-time statistics on their customer’s reading habits.
